distraction causes disconnect from god and his benefits

Now is not the time to lose focus. The spirit of distraction comes to hinder you from the next move of God. Distraction Pull away in another direction. Brings about confusion. Causes one to become insane. Brings about procrastination and self destruction. Most of us should be further along than we are but we've kept letting our past hinder our future. Stop apologizing for mistakes you've made in the past. If people can't see the change, leave them be.

Sometimes our calls can become a distraction. Luke 10:38-42, tells of the story of Martha & Mary. Martha wanted Jesus to rebuke Mary because here was Martha slaving away in the kitchen trying to get the food prepared and the house in order while Mary was sitting with other people listening to Jesus. Instead, Jesus rebuked Martha, saying Mary was where she needed to be, at his feet, learning. Cause of distraction can be our flesh. We want to do right, but our flesh has other ideas. Sin can be another cause. Refusal to listen to your first thought. We each have two thoughts; the first one is God and the second one is the one we shouldn't listen to but sometimes do. Principals to counteract distracions: 1 Doing what is right when it doesn't seem right. 2 War not against the flesh. This is a spiritual fight. 6 Get back in place with God. Now is not the time to lose focus. Get back in the right place with God and do what you have been called to do.

Scripture of The Week

Luke 10:38-42 (NIV)

38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” 41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.[b] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
